Bestec ATX 250-12Z

Please Help!

I have a Compaq Presario desktop and I unplugged the computer and went north for the summer. When I got back and plugged in my computer the power wont come on. I had a tech look at it and he installed a New Bestec ATX 250-12Z power supply and the computer still wont run.

Anybody got any ideas or knowledge of this problem, please let me know.

Richard, you are going to need to give us some more information regarding this. When you say "it won't run", does that mean it will not turn on or does the CPU fan come on and you get no video ? What exactly are the steps you are taking ?

Did you check for power at the outlet and power strip?

My system configuration is as below.
ATI Radeon X2100.
Motherboard M2A74-AM.
1Gb DDR2 667Mhz Ram.
AMD2+ 64x2 4000+ 2.1Ghz processor.
2 DVD Writer.
1 120Gb Barracuda HDD.
I am planning to upgrade my computer SMPS.
I need the help regarding purchasing SMPS for above configuration. I have 230V Iball SMPS
